Physical, non-blank, non-comment lines, counted after copybook and include expansion, with each copybook counted once no matter how many programs copy it. JCL, BMS map source, DDL and stored procedures count; generated code you exclude in scan.yaml does not. Every scan writes a LOC report by language and library so the count can be checked.
A set of programs that share a deployment and a data store and are released together: for example one CICS region's online application plus its batch JCL, or one Java EE EAR with its PL/SQL packages. Shared copybook libraries and common utility modules do not make two systems into one; tell us your boundaries and we confirm them before the license is issued.
Licenses are signed offline keys. You generate a host fingerprint inside the environment, send it to us through your normal procurement channel, and receive a key file you carry back across the air gap. Nothing calls home to validate it. Parser updates arrive the same way, as signed bundles you verify before import.
Docker images or a Helm chart on Kubernetes, in your own data center or a private VPC on AWS, Azure or GCP. Fully air-gapped installs are supported and egress-deny network policies work. A Discovery Scan typically runs on a single 32-vCPU node; portfolios add parser workers.
Enterprise Portfolio renews annually at the list price unless the scope changes. Your extracted specifications, DMN tables and exports are yours and remain usable if you do not renew. If a scan would exceed the licensed LOC, PYD ENTERPRISES stops before analysis and reports the count, and you can either narrow the scope or move up a tier.
An evaluation license covers up to 100,000 lines for 14 days in your own VPC, with every parser and the DMN and OpenAPI exports enabled. No source code is sent to PYD ENTERPRISES. A PYD ENTERPRISES architect joins one working session to review results with your team.
Yes. If you move to Enterprise Portfolio within the 60-day Discovery Scan term, the $25,000 fee is credited against the first year, and the system you scanned becomes one of the five.
